Just don't go to sleep. It's not hard to stay awake for two days.
As for health issues - no. Maybe on the second week you'll start hallucinating.
Seriously, ignore these idiots below. That stuff doesn't happen until way past 48 hours. In fact, I'd expect that you'd get second wind before long and so wouldn't even be that tired.

Expect extreme tiredness obviously, maybe even to the extent of passing out or simply falling asleep. Truckers are allowed to go a maximum of 48 hours without sleep before they legally have to sleep, and I’m pretty sure in Canada your considered legally insane after 72 hours. There’s probably medication you could use to keep you awake. Soft drinks will help but only temporarily an you’re in for a crash when they start to ware off.
go to bed INCREDIBLY early 5 hours before normal! have a few massages n helpful face wipes in yr bag to keep you feeling as FRESH as a daisy!
Mountain Dew is high in caffeine as far as sodas go so I’m not sure why energy drinks or coffee would be off your list unless it is a matter of personal taste. You could try no doze or one of the other caffeine pills.
You know that sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture? Anyway, here are some of the effects:
•blurry vision
•depression (While depression can cause a lack of sleep, it can also arise from sleep deprivation.)
•dizziness
•dramatic weight loss or gain
•hallucinations
•heart disease
•hypertension (high blood pressure)
•irritability
•memory loss
•nausea
•tremors
•trouble speaking.
thats stupid
Ok first off, the guy near the the bottom’s statements are true, but those symptoms don’t show up till around 4-5 days. Also, your body has a method called “micro-sleep” which counter acts this. Basically, your brain shuts down for a short period (from 5sec to a minute from what I hear). I’ve experienced it, and basically you still see and hear everything, you just sort of zone out for a bit. Those torture methods keep you from even doing that, and that is why those symptoms show up.
Yes, you will feel extremely tired, and, depending on how much “out of sync” this is with your normal sleep schedule, you could be looking at a lot more sleep needed afterwards than you normally get (I’d guess10+ hrs as opposed to the recommended 8, though I am no expert)
Mountain Dew has lots of sugar and caffeine in it, which will give you a boost, but expect a crash after it wears off. Teas (except for the caffeine free ones, of course) have as much, if not more caffeine than coffee. Dr Pepper and Coke also have lots of caffeine in them.
Stimulating things such as music, movies, or video games can get the juices flowing. Also, doing stretches can get the circulation going, and it makes it for a better activity than just sitting on the couch.
